Give Yourself The Day You Want To Have!

About Practice Information

Rami Aizic Psychotherapy

I have been in practice for over 25 years, and have found that rather than waking up each day and approaching the day as the one we believe we are supposed to have, I help clients reach for the kind of day they want to have.

I work with individuals, couples, children and families, and engage with them in the dynamic that they bring in. Once we define the parts of that dynamic that is not functioning at an optimal level for them, we acknowledge it, address it, process why it exists and then attempt to reconfigure it so that all parties are closer to their desired experience. Rather than approach a therapeutic situation from one particular perspective, I use an eclectic array of modalities so that I may reach each client in a way that meets their needs.

I work Mondays through Fridays, from 8 am till 7 pm.

Bio

After graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Criminology, I went on to Leeds University Law School. After years of practicing law, I became aware of the lack of professional satisfaction I was experiencing, and returned to graduate school to obtain my Master's degree in Psychology, as well as my Marriage and Family Therapy credential. I have lived in Israel, Toronto, England and Los Angeles, which I believe has offered me the opportunity to experience, first-hand, diverse cultures and differing attitudes to a myriad of life's issues. I bring all of this with me to the therapy room.

I have spent many years working with children and adolescents, ranging from Special Education needs to Gifted, in various school programs which I developed, as well as in private practice. I have found a way to bond with them, leading to a rewarding outcome in our work together.

I enjoy working with families in need of assistance in the dissolution of the original family structure and creating a new one. Helping the adults co-parent in the healthiest ways possible to ensure the best mental health of the children is a priority. And, assisting in creating realistic custody for the ages and developmental stages of the children is equally important to me.

I volunteer my time now in giving back to the therapeutic community by offering lectures and continuing education workshops at a variety of non-profit agencies, assisting psychotherapy interns with the facets of the "business" they are pursuing.

And, I enjoy time with my family.

Child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist

I have known Rami professionally and personally for over a decade. We’ve worked closely to understand and help minimize the mental health struggles of many families and individuals, both young and old. And with each collaboration, I am continually reminded of Rami’s many clinical strengths and personal attributes. He is wise, empathetic, humble, ethical and extremely personable. Rami is direct and kind in his approach which consistently engenders trust between him and his clients. Over the years, the feedback I have received about Rami from our mutual patients and their families has only been positive. His sound clinical understanding always lends itself to interpretations and case conceptualizations that are spot on. He is consistently honest and genuine in his work. I deeply value Rami’s perspectives on people and their motivations and his witty sense of humor. He is at the very top of my referral list and among the colleagues and friends I hold in the highest regard.
